When you join Nicholson PTA, you’re saying yes to more for our students — more classroom technology, more supplies for teachers who spend their own money to fill the gaps, more appreciation for the staff who show up for our kids every day, and more experiences and events that make school memorable.
It’s one of the lowest-effort, highest-impact ways to support our school. There’s no obligation attached — just your name added to a growing group of families who believe Nicholson students deserve more than the school budget alone can provide.
Every membership adds up. The more families who join, the more we can do — for classrooms, for teachers, and for every student who calls Nicholson home.
If I join, do I have to…
The answer is no. Here’s exactly what membership does and doesn’t ask of you.
Go to meetings?
No. Membership doesn’t require attending anything. You’re always welcome at our general meetings if you’d like to be more involved or hear what’s happening, but it’s never expected.
Volunteer or spend a lot of time at school?
No. Joining and volunteering are two separate things. If you ever want to help out, we’d love to have you — but becoming a member doesn’t come with any expectation of your time.
So what does my membership actually do?
It gives Nicholson PTA the support and standing to advocate for our students, and it directly funds the programs, classroom support, and events that go beyond what the school budget covers. It’s a vote of support, not a job.
